SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL SAN ANTONIO JOINS 30TH MID‐BIENNIAL CONFERENCE

The 30th Mid-Biennial Conference of Soroptimist International of the Americas Philippines Region (SIAPR) was a pivotal event centered on the theme, "Educated Women, Sustainable Solutions: A Blueprint for Future Generations." It brought together leaders from across the region to foster fellowship, conduct important sessions, and celebrate the clubs' mission. The conference emphasized protocol and a spirit of sisterhood and service. ​

Conference Highlights ​

The conference was multi-day event. It began with the 4th Region Board Meeting at Quezon City. ​The next day, after a morning registration, the Opening Ceremonies took place. A key moment was the Photo Op with Governor Marivic Paras, arranged for the group of districts. That evening, the Fellowship Night, was held.

 

​On the final day, there was Plenary Sessions. The conference concluded with the Recognition Night, a celebration of achievements. For SI San Antonio, this was a first-time experience at such a prestigious event. The club was inspired to join in the applause for the accomplishments of other clubs, reinforcing the commitment to the Soroptimist mission. The warm welcome given to newly chartered club also strengthened the sense of community and camaraderie among all attendees.


​Awards and Recognition ​


The Recognition Night was a highlight, dedicated to acknowledging the strong efforts and achievements of the various clubs. Each award represented a significant milestone and a testament to the dedication of Soroptimist members. As each club was recognized, the room filled with applause, honoring their contributions. The awards served to inspire and motivate, highlighting exemplary projects that serve as a blueprint for future endeavors. The atmosphere was one of mutual respect and admiration, reinforcing the collective power of the club.


Key Insights and Observations ​


The conference's success was rooted in its well-planned yet flexible approach. The separate photo sessions ensured all members had the opportunity to be formally recognized with the governor. The emphasis on specific attire for each part of the conference—from business suits for sessions to traditional Filipiniana for the Recognition Night—created a sense of unity and purpose. This attention to detail demonstrated care for the overall experience of the attendees. ​
